this hotel features beautifully decorated rooms and a fantastic daily breakfast. the staff helped us with taxi bookings and gave us useful information. our room had fine views from the balcony, complete with a table and chairs, ensuring shaded privacy. a large concrete bath easily fits two people, providing amazing sky views.
Our room was very dark, with minimal lighting in the vanity area. This made makeup application difficult. the sliding glass door in the restroom had a large gap. This caused a lack of privacy.

the hotel is set away from the busy ribeira area. it is located up a hill. this positioning provides a quieter setting. it is still a reasonable distance from attractions.

the room had a large, comfortable bed and plenty of large towels. nice toiletries are provided, too. the big wardrobe includes many hangers. excellent blackout curtains are present. they could be wider though.

i was quite charmed by the level of detail and consideration put into my stay. the staff were really good with dinner reservations. they offered quick responses via whatsapp and secured us a table at 5 oceanos restaurant. the couples massage at the spa was also really nice.
the hotel was pretty, but the quirky faucets were inconvenient.

my room had a fantastic view. the staff were ALWAYS friendly and helpful. breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, ALL fresh and delicious. the location allowed easy access to explore, yet remain removed from noise.
the room key failed sometimes. it was annoying when i had bags.

the gym included three treadmills. i also saw two stationary bikes. the hotel features both a hot and a cold pool. swimming was very refreshing.

the hotel charged extra for the taxi to the train station , it should have been a regular cab.
